Alan Lints Snr who died in February 2019 aged 84 dedicated his life to family and hockey
He was a hockey high achiever. Alan Snr played hockey for Wanganui, NZ Minors and NZ. He also achieved Honours for Umpiring being at one stage NZ highest-ranked umpire and received his FIH Badge. Along with his playing and officiating Alan was awarded the Pakistan Trophy the ultimate award in New Zealand hockey for services. His lifelong commitment to hockey was unquestionable and his family are proud to remember him with this annual scholarship.
This is the first year of this exciting new scholarship and will be awarded to an U19 male hockey official to help with financial hardship.
Alan Lints and his family are delighted to fund this donation and we are extremely fortunate for their support.
