One coach will impact more people in one year than most people do in a lifetime.
The Hockey Foundation Gala Dinner is the primary bi-annual fundraiser for the Hockey Foundation.
We believe that quality coaching is the key to strong player development and in order to create good coaches we need to provide good coach education. Our goal is to raise $75,000 to go towards up-skilling coaches to provide positive hockey experiences to all of our participants. This includes funding 8 Coach Developers and 8 Skills Coaches to work around the country.
The 2019 Gala Dinner took place at The Pullman Hotel in Auckland on Thursday, March 7th.
Guest Speakers were:
- Kayla Whitelock – Four-time Olympian and former captain of the Black Sticks
- Hamish Bond – Double Olympic Gold medalist in rowing, Commonwealth Games bronze cycling medalist
- Blair Tuke – Olympic Gold and Silver medalist in Sailing, Americas Cup winning sailer.
